This week on the Instant Impact podcast with Elyse Archer, we’re hearing from the incredible Gina DeVee. Gina is a published author, accomplished speaker, podcast host, business coach, and self-made multimillionaire entrepreneur. She has dedicated her career to helping women connect spiritually, start profitable businesses, create wealth from a feminine perspective, and become highly visible so they can make a global impact. Gina’s on the show today to talk to us about her vibrant story, wealth consciousness, pivoting in a time of crisis, and how she was able to publish a book (and experience massive success) during a global pandemic.
Elyse and Gina chat about what sparked Gina’s journey to where she is today. After some time working as a psychotherapist, something she got her degrees in, Gina quickly realized that she became an entrepreneur. She was dealing with the day-to-day struggles of running a business–finding clients, managing budgets, you name it. In reality, she just wanted to help people. Eventually, she made the choice that she wasn’t going to be okay with the struggle. She woke up and was done with “living within her means.” So, she moved to California and invested in herself to become a life coach.
Wealth consciousness, Gina says, is the psychology of wealth. When you think about consciousness, it’s an awareness and higher thinking of a subject. We’re taught that we need to save endlessly. There and money “rules” that is imposed on people as if it were a code of ethics. But why? Says who? There are plenty of ways to do ANYTHING–why not wealth? Wealth consciousness is understanding there is no lack of money or a lack of clients in the world. There are times to scale back, but there are also opportunities to simply make more money.
For many, this is a time of financial uncertainty. From Gina’s perspective, there will always be businesses that crumble, those who adapt, and new businesses that arise as the situation evolves. In every economic downfall, there are industries that are formed. It’s about pivoting and finding success where it lives.
Gina pivoted by launch her first book, The Audacity to be Queen. Her mindset remains the same as it did while she was writing–it’s not happening to you, it’s happening for you. She was presented with a choice when she got the news that all her events would be canceled for the foreseeable future. She could allow the sadness to overwhelm her, or, she could take the changes in stride. She started thinking about how she could do a book tour remotely–finding creative ways to make things work is the way to go.
Gina’s ability to maintain this mindset isn’t something that happens overnight. Much like a muscle, you need to prepare your mind to be nimble. Being a personal development junkie is a far reach from real growth. It comes from within! When you’re committed to going after the highest form of yourself, it slows down the triggers for negative mindsets. You can see the thoughts and manage them in a healthy way.
The Audacity to be Queen is a culmination of Gina’s 20 years of genuine growth. It’s part memoir part development part big thinking. She wrote it because she wanted to express what it looks like for women to give themselves permission to live our best lives. The age of Queen is now! For any woman who is seeking something greater in her life, something that she has been diminished for in the past, this book is here for you.
