Abundance Habits in Selling

Welcome to a transformative episode of She Sells Radio! In this special recording of a live session, we dive into the powerful shift from a scarcity mindset to an abundance mindset. But I’ve seen a magical transformation in the She Sells community as people embrace abundance—not just in their finances, but in their overall outlook on life.

An abundance mindset isn’t about how much money you make; it’s about changing your internal view of the world. When you start seeing yourself as abundant and do the self-concept work, your sales, income, and peace of mind will shift dramatically. 

In this episode, we explore how shifting to an abundance mindset can change your life and approach to goals. We’ll discuss the importance of choosing mentors who embody abundance and the need to ask different, more empowering questions. Let’s break free from old paradigms and embrace a new way of thinking.

billionaire and it was really

interesting and I’ll share I’m not going

to identify anything but I’m going to

share just a little bit of some of what

I took away I’m also going to share from

some other great um people and leaders

in my life who I have uh learned so much

from but I do want to share to start

that uh this was an area that I

struggled for so long with scarcity

mindset and let me know if you can

relate to that um give me a heart or a

that and I think scarcity mindset it’s

like it doesn’t have anything to do with

how much money is in the bank it really

doesn’t you know we grew up um upper

middle class but there was a lot of

scarcity mindset embedded and I

struggled in this area of my life for so

long and I see this happening with the

members of our community there’s this

magical shift that happens when you

understand and you learn that abundance

at its core doesn’t have anything to do

with how many sales are coming in or how

5:13

much money is in the bank by the way on

5:15

feels like on default on autopilot

selling a lot of payment plans start

selling a lot more paid in FS right it’s

all about um it’s all about your energy

but you cannot wait for anything outside

of you to shift or change before you

decide I’m going to focus on being an

abundance person an abundant person okay

so I um and I’ll share just a little bit

of my backstory too and I’m not going to

we’ve got a lot of things going on today

that are all exciting but I wanted to

hop on and just

6:30

share this from the heart um and let me

know too if you can relate to this like

I think so much of how we’re taught and

6:37

trained in the business world is

6:40

scarcity mindset you know the way that I

6:43

was taught and trained when I first

6:45

started in sales decades ago was very

6:49

much about competition it was like do

6:53

whatever you have to do to hard close to

6:56

Hard Sell and I think this is why so

6:57

many people get a terrible taste in

7:00

their mouth when it comes to sales and

7:02

business because we’re taught that this

7:04

is what you have to do and there’s even

7:07

today I I saw some of it over this

7:09

weekend even today there are a lot of

7:12

people with big

7:13

platforms teaching that um that you have

7:17

to like comp take the competition down

7:22

there’s not enough for everyone you have

7:23

to hard close you have to force you have

7:26

to um like not take no for an answer to

7:29

a point where it’s not honoring to the

7:31

other person and this is how I was

7:32

trained and raised up um and it it led

7:36

me to a point in my late 20s where I was

7:39

like I was working hard I was selling

7:42

media sales I was working hard I was um

7:46

by probably a lot of people’s standard

7:48

successful successful you know I was

7:51

close to the Top If not top of the

7:53

leaderboard pretty consistently at work

7:55

um but I was having so much

7:59

anxiety around what I thought I had to

8:02

do to be successful and the way I was

8:05

being taught to sell and I’d love to

8:07

hear in the comments if you can relate

good to see you but um you know inside

so like outwardly successful but inside

struggling with anxiety panic attacks

and eating disorder and I was like there

has to be another way there has to be

another way and I think that we

as a as a community as a global

Community whether you’re in sales or

business or not I think that we’re all

8:35

being invited to a shift in

8:39

Consciousness where we drop the old

Paradigm of Separation lack scarcity

competition not that there like there’s

8:48

nothing wrong with competing against

8:49

yourself I love constantly like

8:52

competing against myself in a healthy

8:54

positive self-loving way um but I think

8:57

that we’re being invited to drop so many

of the old paradigms that have gotten us

9:03

into scenarios that um you know that

9:07

aren’t honoring to each other and really

9:09

step into a different way of being in

9:13

the world and especially in the sales

9:14

and business world one where we

9:16

understand that there is enough for all

9:19

of us one that we understand where we

9:22

don’t have to force or push someone into

9:25

something um just to try to get a sale

9:28

where we understand and that um we can

9:32

help and support people in the same

9:34

industry as us and that there’s still

9:36

going to be more than enough for all of

9:37

us and this is a concept that we teach

9:40

and train in our community called

9:42

abundance selling that good evening so

9:45

good to see you so when I started

9:48

studying under um mentors this was you

9:51

know over 10 years ago now started

9:54

studying under mentors who were

9:56

manifesting what a lot of people would

9:58

consider you know a great deal of

financial succcess Millions

10:03

multi-millions um in the same industry

10:05

as me but I found what I was attracted

10:08

to was they had a different way of being

10:11

in their sales and in their business one

10:13

that was so different from what I had

10:16

been taught and it was um I heard things

10:19

like go where you’re wanted not where

10:21

you’re needed and I’ve been so condition

10:23

to like if someone needs what I have to

10:26

offer I have to make them buy it no

10:28

matter what now I’m not saying that we

10:30

don’t um overcome objections I don’t I’m

10:33

not saying that we don’t go deep with

10:35

someone when we know we can offer them a

10:36

transformation like anyone who shadowed

10:38

me on a sales call I’ve had people be

10:40

like I can’t believe you just said that

10:42

to them because I like I will be direct

10:45

I will speak to someone very like I will

10:48

some of you have been on those calls

10:49

with me if I know I can help you and

10:51

serve you and you want that

10:53

transformation like I will go deep with

10:55

you I will lovingly call you up I will

10:58

lovingly call you out when I notice or

he limiting beliefs I have no issue

doing that but the difference is the

11:04

energy I am not attached to someone

11:08

needing to buy from me or not because it

11:09

doesn’t have anything to do with my

11:11

level of abundance so and and my own

11:14

security well-being self-confidence none

of that so check in with yourself do you

11:20

feel attached on sales calls do you even

11:25

do you feel nervous to go deep with

11:27

someone into helping them uncover the

11:29

limiting beliefs that are holding them

11:30

back do you feel anxiety or fear um when

11:35

you check your bank account I mean

11:36

there’s all these things where we can

11:38

just notice and and see within ourselves

11:40

oh there’s an

11:41

opportunity for me to embody abundance

11:44

at a deeper level in my life and so as I

11:47

studied and learned under these great

11:49

mentors I found that when I Incorporated

11:53

some of the principles that I’m going to

11:54

teach you today that things shifted

11:57

dramatically in my business and not only

12:00

did I feel better but I was actually

12:01

making more money and selling way more

12:04

as well and so this I want to speak

today a little bit about abundance

12:09

habits and um it’s anchored in this

12:12

concept of abundance selling so we talk

12:15

in our community about abundance selling

12:17

versus scarcity selling and I think a

12:20

lot of what we’ve been taught to do

12:22

traditionally is scarcity selling that’s

12:25

a lot of what I was speaking to earlier

12:27

on the live stream and I want to help if

12:29

you if you learn this you’ll shift into

12:33

what we call abundance selling and

12:35

because the energy in which you do a

12:38

thing determines the outcome of the

12:40

thing if you approach your sales and

12:43

your business from an energy of

12:46

abundance you’re going to have that

12:48

result mirrored back to you is that

12:50

making sense let me know in the comments

making sense and I think that it’s I

think it’s helpful to have real world

examples too so I’m going to share just

a little bit of um some things that I’ve

seen modeled by people in my life that I

think are really beautiful and Powerful

um that we can all learn from and focus

on embodying further so I’m going to

share um just very high level first I um

I had the pleasure of working with

someone recently who is who’s a

billionaire and I was asking I wanted to

know his take on abundance I wanted to

13:30

know his take on abundance and to me I

13:33

think this is something that’s really

13:34

important for everyone here listening as

13:36

well is when you are hiring a mentor or

13:41

a coach um you want

13:45

to hire them to learn how they think so

13:49

when I was with this individual I was

13:50

like I want to know how you think about

13:52

money and abundance because there’s a

13:54

whole another level of Consciousness

13:57

that this person is at in order to have

14:00

billions of dollars flowing in his life

14:03

versus where I am right now versus where

14:05

probably most of us are right now right

14:07

so I say all of that to say you know if

14:10

you’re watching this and you are looking

14:13

to hire a mentor sorry my face is itchy

14:15

today you’re looking to hire a mentor

14:17

like whether it’s me or somebody else

14:19

hire them not to be like hey give me

14:21

this

14:22

strategy hire them because you want to

14:24

learn how they think this is how we

14:26

should hire mentors in our life um you

14:29

want to be in their energy and you want

14:31

to find out how do they think about

14:33

certain things so that you can start to

14:36

model and practice that level of

14:38

thinking and so one thing that this

14:40

person shared that I thought was so

14:42

powerful was that um he actively helps

14:46

his competitors in his space and I was

14:50

like how many of us if we were in a

14:53

place where maybe business was tough or

14:55

things were hard and we had a competitor

14:57

quote unquote competitor

14:59

right um who was also facing some

15:03

challenges would you stop what you’re

15:05

doing to actually help them to say hey

15:09

let me sit down and help you think about

15:11

your business let me sit down and this

15:13

person had even sent some money um his

15:17

competitor’s ways and I was just like

15:19

wow like that

15:21

mindset that is abundant selling and

15:25

again we want to look for the evidence

15:27

so that way of thinking that approach to

15:29

business is generating billions of

15:32

dollars flowing in does that make sense

15:35

so I think that’s number one again

15:37

there’s so much out there and I don’t

15:38

like this at all there’s so much out

15:40

there about like crush the competition

15:43

blah blah blah like it’s just it’s not

15:46

an uplevel way of thinking it’s not and

15:49

it’s scarcity mindset anytime you feel

15:52

like you got to crush somebody else that

15:54

is scarcity mindset my friend um and

15:57

you’re not actually going to reach your

15:58

full Potential from that energy you know

another example and I’ll I’ll name the

next two people by name and give them

some shout outs because I I think you

should follow them and connect with them

um beautiful person in my life uh Ian

conak if you’re not connected with him

or following him um he he was a client

in the past he’s um he’s a a colleague

we’re in a similar space he’s we teach

different things but there’s a lot of

16:24

overlap um but this this person he was

the number one rep for Salesforce before

he started his own sales coaching

16:32

company we’ve actually had him in to

16:33

speak to our community and on the

16:34

podcast a few times now um funny I just

had Deja Vu it’s interesting you know

16:40

you have those moments where you have

16:41

Deja Vu and you’re like whoa what was

that but then it Fleet so I just had

16:43

that that was interesting um so we have

16:47

had we’ve had him in a number of times

16:48

to speak but he uh launched his coaching

16:52

business several years ago now like just

16:55

a few years ago and um is doing

16:59

multi-millions in his business hit Inc

Inc 5000 list ink I don’t know hit an

17:06

ink list this year and his whole

17:11

mindset is around generosity and

17:13

abundance you know I was um honored to

17:16

go speak at his Mastermind a month or

17:18

two ago and I watched him celebrate

17:21

someone in the community who was who had

17:23

graduated from his program and was

17:25

hiring a new coach and I and he

17:27

celebrated it and I was like how amazing

17:32

and what an abundance

17:34

mindset think about this for yourself

17:37

whether you’re a coach a service

17:38

provider if you had a client who was

17:41

completing with you and moving on to

17:42

someone else would you celebrate that

17:46

for them like oh and maybe you would but

17:49

a lot of people wouldn’t I watched them

17:51

do this and I was just like wow and

17:55

again the proof is in the pudding that

17:57

ener that is abundant self he and I

17:59

actually co- facilitated a training

together on abundance selling you can go

find it on his YouTube my YouTube um you

should follow him either way but that is

that to up level we need to do something

so different reading you squared at that

moment beautiful yeah it’s you know I

was watching um this weekend when I was

on the road I was watching this

interview with Michael Beckwith and

somebody else I don’t remember Arya

someone was the name of the woman he was

interview doing but they were talking

about Toral to your point um when you’re

ready to uplevel and expand it’s it you

reach a point that I can feel that I’m

actually here in my own life right now

and it’s it’s powerful where it’s like

they talked about a chicken in an egg

18:46

where a chicken when it’s still in the

18:48

egg and it’s like it’s starting to get

18:50

too big um and it’s starting like it’s

18:53

there’s excrement in the egg it’s like I

18:55

got to get out right I got to get out um

18:58

it’s it’s it doesn’t look for a bigger

egg the egg doesn’t expand but there’s

actually an Impulse in the chicken to

19:05

Peck through the egg to get out to step

into a completely different world a

completely different universe and so if

you’re feeling that call for expansion

which I’m guessing you are because

integrating this way of thinking is is

part of stepping out completely of the

egg that you’re in the box that you’re

in does that make sense so I thought

that was a really beautiful example of

that as well

and then the final example I want to

give um this woman she actually spoke to

our clients last week and again it’s

just like you the proof is in the

pudding study people who have the

results you want um but Amberly logo

her podcast a month or so ago um and

she’s built a most people would say the

brand that she has built in a short

amount of time in the speaking and

coaching and personal development space

most people would look at that and say

not possible and yet she’s done it and I

remember when she and I connected years

ago and she was first launching her

20:38

business um she and she told me this

she’s like I didn’t even have a computer

she didn’t have a computer she didn’t

know how to use a lot of technology and

now she’s speaking on stages with

20:49

everyone Ed melet J Shetty Brendan Bard

I mean you name it she’s she’s doing it

she’s speaking on stages with them but

though if you study her energy and again

20:59

go follow her too go connect with her if

you study her energy everything and I

said this when I introduced her to our

group last week everything is about

generosity everything is about sharing

like so generously sharing hey here’s

how you land

stages here’s how you land stages um

sharing this with speakers and aspiring

speakers who want to be on the same stag

as as her she’s telling them people who

some people would say oh that’s going to

be your competition don’t share your

21:29

secret she’s like no let me tell you she

creates stages and shares them with

21:34

other women so the bottom line here and

21:37

what I want to leave you with is if you

want to if you desire more abundance in

21:44

your business in your life you have to

21:46

first notice and

21:48

become abundance yourself you have to

21:51

start asking different questions not how

21:53

can I get more money in the bank not how

21:55

can I have more sales this month nothing

21:57

wrong with those questions but those

21:59

questions inherently are coming from a

place of lack because when you ask

22:03

questions like that you’re saying I

22:04

don’t have it I would instead ask how

22:08

can I become an abundant person and how

22:12

would an abundant person show up today

22:15

how would an abundant person speak would

22:17

they be freaking out about where’s my

22:19

next client going to come from or how am

22:21

I going to pay this bill no they would

22:23

be in gratitude and generosity and one

22:27

thing that you can do now that energy

22:29

behind this is important but one thing

22:30

that I would encourage you to do is give

22:33

what you want to

22:35

receive give what you want to receive so

22:38

think about right now what is it that

22:41

you want to receive in your business or

22:43

your sales is it um is it more clients

22:47

is it more referrals is it more

22:49

opportunities okay if so how can you

22:52

give that to someone else now don’t do

22:55

it because you think you’re G to get

22:56

something back okay that’s not that’s

22:59

it’s not going to work when you do it

that way do it because it feels good do

it because you want to focus on being an

abundant person do it because you want

to tutorial’s point earlier step

completely outside of the box and

practice a different approach you know

way out of the egg have a completely

different world and universe in front of

you when you do that so give what you

want to receive

that it’s fun it’s beautiful to me it’s

a part of service it’s a part of living

our fullest expression so I love all of

those things I enjoy it and that’s a

consistent part of my life but that

happened that didn’t

24:13

happen easily or effortlessly when I was

24:16

in a place of scarcity mindset does that

24:19

make sense so when I was just focused on

24:22

how can I make more money how can I sell

24:23

more clients from a place of needing

24:26

validation or need it to feel abundant

24:30

worthy successful they didn’t come in

24:32

that energy it was extremely hard when

24:35

you start asking questions like this and

24:37

you shift your focus to what can I

24:40

control which is who am I being who am I

24:43

being and how can I be abundance you

24:46

know we teach the women in our community

24:47

the members of our community like you

24:49

are abundance and when you when you

24:51

learn that and you learn it has nothing

24:53

to do with anything outside of you but

24:56

you shift your focus to being being an

24:58

abundant person things get really

exciting and really good and really

25:05

different and you’ll see the outer World
