Speaker 1 (00:02):

Welcome to she sells radio. I am so excited to bring you just the most special human being today in this episode. And this week I’m highlighting some of our 50 K club members, cuz I’ve heard so many questions from the community about, is it really possible for me to have that big of an up level in my life? Right. We can look at it and say, well, so and so can do it, but I can’t or so, and so can do it, but I can’t. And I wanted to bring to you some of our members of our community to share their real behind the scenes stories and transformations and what happened for them when they decided to say yes to themselves next to their yes, to their next level. And so my guest today, Laura grab AVO, I think, is such an embodiment of what she sells is all about. And so I’ll let Laura introduce herself briefly here and then we’ll talk a little bit more about her journey in the 50 K club. But I will just say, as you listen to her, you’ll hear the mindset. You’ll hear the willingness to go for more. You’ll hear some of the personal transformation and she really, just to me represents what we do here in the she sales world. So Laura, welcome to this show. I’m so glad to have you.

Speaker 2 (01:13):

Oh, I’m so excited to be here. This is, this is actually coming off my vision board. So this is something that I’m so excited about. Yes. So I

Speaker 1 (01:22):

Love that you manifested this. That’s amazing. <laugh> and you manifested a lot. So we’re gonna talk about that today. Yes. So for just a little bit of context, Laura, could you share who you are, what you do and kind of what drew you into the sheels world? Let’s start there.

Speaker 2 (01:40):

Yeah. So, um, my name is Laura grab AVO. I’m a vice president of private banking. Um, I work with high network clients up to about 75 million. Um, so I help, I help clients with, um, you know, lending and banking needs. I’m on a, a pretty big team where we do financial planning and really just help. Um, I help my clients to feel more expansive. And so, um, I actually, um, you know, on the side I, I was doing Mary Kay and that’s how I came across, um, your podcast. So I wanted to find a different way to sell and I could not believe, you know, so again, listening to your podcast, learning a lot of different techniques that were very different that I could even apply to, um, my current role, but there was so much more than that, that I learned that it was amazing. Yes. Wow.

Speaker 1 (02:40):

Yeah. It’s, it’s always funny. People come in and they say, I think I, I just need to listen to a good sales podcast and then they’re like, this isn’t really sales. It’s not most it, but it’s, but it’s actually what I need to get to my, my next level. So I always love how the universe connects us in such cool, such cool ways. And so you came in to the community almost two years ago. Not quite two years ago. Went through the 10 K club, um, had some pretty incredible shifts there. And then you, you joined us in the first round of the 50 K club last winter, but would you share just some of your own personal journey, even you could start with 10 K club and then we’ll speak to 50 K and what happened for you there, but just some of the transformations that happened in your life?

Speaker 2 (03:25):

Yeah, so the 50 K club was definitely, um, something I never, I’ve never done. I’ve never invested in coaching. And so, um, it really was about investing in myself and I was so grateful for that. It, it really transformed a lot of my mindset. Um, my self worth really upleveling my career. Um, you know, that that’s something that I was stuck for so long in, in different positions where, where I felt like I was pretty successful. I mean, you know, I had a six figure, I have a six figure job, right. I was doing well, a high performer winning sales awards yet. Um, could never break through to that next level. And the 10 K club helped me so much with that. And it was really around my beliefs, um, limiting beliefs that I had. And so that those are things that I didn’t even know what a limiting belief was. I, yeah. So, yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:28):

Yeah. Cause see, and, and I think as much as you want to can share, don’t wanna share, like, it’s, I’m all about people just sharing what they feel comfortable with, but you have shared some of your own journey of coming in with limiting beliefs and some trauma background and, and like overcoming that. Right. And then what manifested in your career as you worked through that. So can you share as just as much as you’re comfortable with, of some of the things you overcame and then what happened? Cause I, I think it was within six months of the 10 K club at first, you had some pretty cool things happening. Yeah. So, so if you can speak to that, that would be great.

Speaker 2 (05:02):

Yeah. And some of the background is, you know, um, I was, I was stuck in this, uh, this pattern of really trying to heal my life. Um, I grew up in an environment that was unhealthy, you know, a lot of people don’t know this about me, but, um, you know, my, it was a very abusive home that I grew up in and both my parents were alcoholics and I was sexually abused until I was the age of 16, um, from a young age. And, um, I did so much work on my own. I went to counseling, which was great. I mean, and I still go to counseling. Um, and so, and reading a lot of self-help books and, um, really just striving to, you know, I, I was a part of a ministry and, you know, really just, uh, that helped a lot, but um, really finding you and the program and the coaching really shifted so much.

Speaker 2 (06:01):

I needed a coach to be able to shift through a lot of the, I was doing a lot of things on my own. And so the mindset, um, really seeing I, and again, the victim mindset that I had, and it was from the environment that I grew up in and the belief around that, uh, the belief that system that I had, and I didn’t know how to shift out of that. And so the program really taught me your coaching and the how to rewire those limiting beliefs. Um, and my morning routine has been huge. I mean, that has been so good for me. And I didn’t really understand at the time how to really shift those things. And, um, through your program, through the morning routine that you specifically give and following it, I really shifted so much. And, and, you know, and, and to the point where my career even, I, I had three opportunities that I ever wanted show up at the same time and I got to pick and I doubled my income.

Speaker 1 (07:09):

Wow.

Speaker 2 (07:10):

Yes. And it’s, you know, to me, that was like, that was wow. That was incredible. But it was the journey of getting to that, you know, and the journey of today where I’m at that I love, um, what you’ve taught.

Speaker 1 (07:26):

Mm, well, I, gosh, I, first of all, there’s so much that we could say about what you just said. That’s so important. And I really appreciate you sharing your background because it’s more common than not. I find that the women in our community, they have some sort of trauma background and that can be maybe a woman relates to yours or maybe there’s body stuff or there’s something, and it doesn’t have to be these big, it doesn’t necessarily have to be big to still be trauma, but we have these things happen where we grow up and we are taught, or we just pick up on a belief that we’re not worthy. We’re not enough. And most women wouldn’t look at you and know that that was part of your background. So I really appreciate you sharing that because that I think gives other women permission to also say, yeah, that happened to me too.

Speaker 1 (08:13):

Or something happened to me too. And look, I can still overcome, I can still rise up. I don’t have to be stuck in this if I don’t want to. And then the other thing that you said that I wanna highlight women will, especially women in corporate, they’ll say, well, how am I gonna make more money in this? Right. I’m in corporate. I mean, if they’re in sales, yes. They know how they can make more money, but they think there’s a cap and you came in and you literally doubled your income. And I think six months, if I’m correct, when those opportunities showed up, and I know your vision has continued to expand beyond there too, which is so exciting. So if you could speak to specifically anything that you feel was shifting transformational when you enrolled in the 50 K club, cause you went from 10 K club to 50 K club, um, what was specifically transformational about that program for you?

Speaker 2 (09:07):

You know, it was a declaration to myself, you know, it was, I got to invest even more in myself and the, the amount of shifting that I’d seen through the 10 K uh, program, I wanted to take advantage of more of that. Um, and at a higher level and, you know, going, going to that next level, um, and being around other women. And it was the community that you, that at, that is built at the 50 K club. And because, um, the women have to go through the 10 K to get to the 50 K or, or, or not, I don’t know, but that’s what it, they

Speaker 1 (09:44):

Used to the way we do it. Yeah, no, for sure. The way we do it now is if you’re at 10 K months, you can, you can enroll at 50, but we didn’t have 50 K for a long time. So everyone had to go through 10 K. So, yeah. So to your point, the community that’s built at that level is different, right?

Speaker 2 (09:59):

Yeah. It’s so different. It’s so powerful. And, you know, really, um, each woman being safe and being seen and really leaning into their desires and you’re coaching around that as well is then tremendous. And then, um, really having the, um, the mastermind too, the, the group that we have and connecting with the women and having, you know, like I had an accountability partner that we would get on, um, once a week and talk about our vision and goals and really just, uh, encourage one another to go higher and, and really, you know, it’s, it’s nice, um, to have the community of women in the mindset, because there’s not that in the corporate environment that, that I’ve had. Yeah. And so, um, there’s a lot of good things and not bashing corporate at all, but this is really when you’re getting that, the level of coaching and, um, everybody really leaning into their desires and showing you, wow, this is, this is safe and this is good. And, and, and really just making that, you know, um, it was, yeah, I, I, I guess too part of it is you have to be a part of it. You have to be in it to feel it. Yeah. And, and I’m, and I’m expressing my, my emotions and my passion around it, but really to know it, you have to be in it. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:29):

Yeah. It’s, it’s so true. And I think the community for women at that level, it’s, it’s so important. And it’s also kind of rare because oftentimes for a woman at this level, she has the life that other people look at and say, she’s got it all. And she’s, if I could just be her, my life would be set. And for many of us, we get to that level and we realize, wow, six figures or low six figures. I can’t, I still can’t say yes to everything I wanna do financially. Um, I have a vision for more, I, for the women in this community, they wanna do it in an empowered way. They wanna do it in a more feminine way. They don’t wanna hustle or grind their way to the top. Maybe that’s how they got to the six figure level. And they’re burnt out.

Speaker 1 (12:15):

They’re tired. They’re like I can’t possibly grind or hustle my way further. And they’re looking for something different. And to have that like-minded community of women who get it, I think is key because they’re often the ones that their community looks at and says, I need advice from you. You like, you’ve got it all figured out. And so it’s like, where do they go? Right. How do they build community? And, and so I love what you said about the community piece. And I think as I’ve had just so much fun talking with some of our past members about what it was like and what the transformation was like, the community comes up again and again, and it really becomes this really, really special bond. So, uh, yeah. Thank you so much, Laura, final question. And then I’ll have you tell everyone where they can connect with you? What would you say? Let’s say a woman is listening and she sees something in you that’s in her, and she has this desire for more. She’s done it, maybe the hard way up until this point. And yet she’s still, there’s something in her soul that says there’s more for me. And maybe there’s another way that I can get to that next level. And she wants to do the 50 K club, but has some fears about making the investment or about really stepping up to her vision? What would you say to her?

Speaker 2 (13:29):

I’d say, do it, do it all day. It is worth it. It is so worth it and I’m worth it. I was worth it. I didn’t see that before, you know, and, uh, through the coaching and through the things that are, that I have worked through, um, I was worth it. I was worth it to invest in myself and it was so worth it, um, to be able to join the community and, um, get the coaching and it’s, um, it’s, it’s definitely, you’ve created a great community and I appreciate that every day it’s shifted so much in my life. And, um, I’d say, sign up now, you know, if, if it’s, you, you don’t know what you don’t know and, you know, and, and as you listen, if, if any woman, I encourage them to listen to your podcast and listen to the messages, but could you imagine being in a room with all these women that have that, that are, that are putting their desires first and going after things that are big.

Speaker 2 (14:38):

And so for me, it was done. I was done playing small and I was allowing myself to really think to even around money, you know, thinking bigger with money, you know, for me to say that I want to say, make seven figures. Wasn’t something I, I put out there publicly before. And so, um, I, I made money. God, I had to really shift a lot with it. And the money is a tool. Um, I, I share that now, even as you’re thinking about enrolling in the program, it’s a tool to help you to get to that next level. And if it’s a desire, then go for it. That’s what I’ve learned is just go for it.

Speaker 1 (15:14):

Oh my gosh. It’s so powerful. It’s so powerful. And I’m just, I’m so inspired by women like you in the community and what you do and how much you shift and how much you’re willing to really go for it. And step up to say yes, because it’s, it’s not common in our world. And so to be, I feel so privileged to be in this community, um, to really witness the transformation and be in community with women like you, who are, um, who are showing up at such a high level. So Laura, you’re amazing. If someone wants to connect with you, follow you, what’s the best way for them to get in touch.
