How to Stop Making Clients Source

This episode is all about how to stop making your customers source. I know the pressure that is put on you, especially if you are working in the corporate world. But there is a way to sell that gets you past the anxiety of worrying about closing a sale. This new relationship with money stops you from putting pressure on clients to buy. This pressure only makes you both uncomfortable and it is a losing battle.

to be up in Maine we had just moved into

a new home in North Carolina it was like

three weeks prior and uh and he had to

go so we were apart for about two months

I was moming solo we were figuring out

what in the world we were going to do is

a what we knew we were going to all

moved to main as a family but we had not

been preparing for that and so um

everything came together really

powerfully it was there was definitely

um a lot of challenges that came this

summer so I have been strengthened this

especially if you’re in corporate of

like when is so and so going to close

and we need the sale to hit quota this

quarter blah blah blah like I’ve been

there done that gotten the T-shirt lived

that life I have made client source and

6:25

it’s a losing it’s a losing battle um

when you do you end up putting too much

6:33

pressure on yourself too much pressure

on the deal too much pressure on them

and so to me the way to shift out of

that to me it had to be spiritual

6:43

connection and I had to realize that I

6:45

was making not just client Source but

6:48

also money source for a lot of my life

6:50

and I I viewed clients and money as the

6:53

same thing because I had a belief that

6:55

the only way I can receive money is

6:57

through selling something and when when

6:59

you open up to be able to receive money

in a lot of different ways then you can

7:05

receive money in a lot of different ways

and um we’ve got so many cool stories of

members of our community who when they

7:13

detached the association from the only

7:17

way I can receive money is by selling

7:19

and working hard and opened up their

7:22

partner suddenly starts making way more

money they receive an unexpected check

7:25

in the mail yes they sell more

7:28

personally and they’re finally open to

7:32

receiving resources and money in a lot

7:33

of different ways but it’s because

7:35

they’re not locked into the belief that

the only way to make money and be

7:42

financially secure and stable is by

7:45

selling something and and because when

we do that we really do make our client

source and we also make money Source

because we tie our stability and our

7:53

safety in with it which on a surface

level there is there is that a thing yes

in a on a deep level on a spiritual

level is money Source no so we’re not

going to do like we’re not going to I

have so many episodes on the energetics

of money and that’s something we teach

dive into that today um but what I want

to share with you is something I was

reading out of a book by Katherine

Ponder this morning and um if you’re not

familiar with her work she I started

reading Katherine’s books only a couple

years ago like it was like early 2021

when I started really getting into her

work and I loved it because it was a

spiritual approach to wealth and

prosperity and I came from such a strict

conservative Southern Baptist upbringing

um that was not this it just wasn’t this

type of information we’ll put it that

way so I felt like I was brainwashed one

way early in life and then I’ve like

8:56

been Reb brainwashing myself in a very

8:59

different way that feels much better to

me um over the past few years and it’s

created a real difference in in my

results in my life so I started getting

into Katherine Ponder’s work a couple of

years ago and I was on a um coaching

call with two clients last week and

they’re going through a a wealth and

financial up level and so I was

recommending they get into Katherine’s

work too because it just it was an

9:24

intuitive download like they need to

read it but it inspired me to pick back

up one of her books so I’m going to show

you it’s probably revers on the camera

but this is the millionaires of Genesis

so she does these like millionaire

series books um which are really fun but

they’re all millionaires from the Bible

so she’s got one about Jesus she’s got

oh my gosh Moses the millionaire Moses

is a whole book she’s got a ton of books

on um biblical Prosperity so I was

reading this

morning this book um it’s the first

chapter is the first millionaire Adam

you’re really getting like a raw episode

today because I can feel my voice

is is still healing and uh and I’m I’m

kind of like I said just going off the

cuff today but it’s it’s beautiful and

it’s from the heart and I think this is

going to really speak to you so this

thoughts um it’s from the first chapter

which is the first millionaire Adam and

it’s says how Divine substance made one

family rich now pause Divine substance

so what is substance substance is you

you’ll hear people talk about it in

different ways if you listen to anything

new thought or metaphysical substance is

um it’s like the energy which makes up

the universe and substance is that raw

material from which we create everything

so you are made of if you again if you

read this and study this like you are

composed of substance money is substance

uh the quantum field is substance so

this is this also ties in quantum

physics she doesn’t go into that in this

book but it’s all aligned so that’s what

this is when we talk about Divine

substance so she says at the turn of the

century there was a businessman who

learned that substance was the basis of

all wealth he became so fascinated with

this mystical success method that he

began to declare daily Divine substance

11:26

cannot be withheld from me divine

11:29

substance cannot be taken from me Divine

substance is the one and only reality in

my financial affairs now Divine

substance is manifesting the wealth of

the universe for me in Rich appropriate

form here and now I am sustained and

prospered by the infinite Riches of

divine

substance the result was that he

prospered when business associates all

about him did not people who came into

his store to shock were surprised when

he did not give them a hard

sell fellow Merchants were even more

surprised when this man’s business

prospered through good times and bad

until he finally was able to open

several more thriving stores around the

city when a friend asked him how this

man prospered in spite of his apparently

casual approach to business he replied I

know the secret of the ages the Divine

substance is the foundation of all

wealth I do not depend upon customers

economic condition or any outer

situation for my

Supply instead I think prosperity and I

daily call on Divine substance to

prosper me this method has freed me from

all the usual concerns about business I

just want you to think about that for a

minute if you were free from all the

12:46

usual concerns about business what would

that be like for you and think about it

12:51

actually being possible to either be in

12:54

your sales career or be running your

12:56

business and not be worried about or

12:59

thinking about the economy and is this

person going to buy from me or not and

am I going to hit quota Etc so I once

you’d actually think about that and what

that would be like excuse me and we’re

just rolling with this today last part

of the segment that I’m going to give

daughter also learned that same secret

that Divine substance is the foundation

of all wealth and she meditated upon it

daily when she inherited her father’s

thriving business it continued to

prosper under her leadership until she

became a very rich woman when friends

would ask her the secret of her success

she always said for my father I learned

about the prospering power of

morning like I said and I was like okay

that’s the key so how do we do

this I would say it’s a process like it

took me a long time to get to the point

where I feel that way where I literally

like I am not triggered if someone does

not buy for me even if I know it would

be amazing for them even if I know it

would be the best thing they could do I

used to get so caught up and like really

tight clenchy energy around trying to

quote unquote make people buy like even

listen to my language there um and it

14:31

was so disempowering for me and then

14:33

also of course the client on the other

14:35

side is going to feel that for me right

so when so for me it took a um it took

it like really studying the energetics

14:47

behind money but then also like what am

14:51

I here for and and I truly believe that

uh we are all Spiritual Beings having a

14:56

human experience and that you are here

on this planet to expand and experience

the fullness of who you are and that

money is here to be your servant not

15:08

your master and it’s here to help you

experience the expansion of who you are

and I believe that that that money that

Prosperity flows to us when we’re open

to it and that we are not it’s it’s not

that there’s not action of course

there’s action involved like I’m

to it has to come in a certain way or it

wrote this down I I was sharing this um

said God is my safety and my Supply

other people are there for me to love

and it was just such a like clear

distinction a clear distinct um

separation between the role of other

people in my life and the role of God

Source Spirit Universe in my life so

when we remember that and when we keep

turning back to that for our stability

and notice it wasn’t even money right

money is not my stability or my safety

or my

Supply God Universe source is when we do

that and we get it in right relationship

and then we we literally just shift the

energy with other people it’s like other

people are there for me to love and

serve who is that that’s your customers

that’s your family that’s your

17:17

friends you will you will take back your

17:21

power and you’ll notice that you’re no

longer trying to show up and be

17:25

performative for anyone to try to

17:28

manipulate an outcome how many of us

learned that and it’s not about like

17:32

we’re bad people it’s that we learned in

17:35

order to be safe in the world we have to

17:37

show up a certain way we learned that

17:39

very very early on when we were little

17:41

kids and we will carry that out in our

17:44

businesses or in our sales relationships

like I learned how I needed to be in

17:50

order to get an outcome in order to feel

17:52

loved safe secure and and so for a lot

17:54

of my life I wasn’t myself and I because

17:56

I was so good at reading other people I

17:58

still am but I don’t use it the way I

used to I was so good at reading other

18:02

people I would know what to say I would

18:04

know when to say it I know exactly what

to do um to to get a result but it was

all based on it was all based on making

other people source and making other

18:17

people my security I hope that makes

sense and maybe you can relate to that

too and so when we get things in right

relationship then no longer are we

needing anyone to do anything in order

for us to feel safe and secure in the

world now this extends Way Beyond sales

too so just take note of that like this

applies to every aspect of life but it

definitely applies to sales and you will

feel how do I describe

it it’s it’s like your energy bubble

around your body doesn’t have leaks

anymore because you’re no longer

attached

to anyone needing to think feel or act a

certain way around you because you’re so

in your power and you’re so just good

with you and you know you’re always safe

protected supplied for no matter what

and then from that place this is this

concept that I call selling from

wholeness from that place of you are

whole you are

good you can show you are good you’re

whole and good no matter what anyone

does does or doesn’t do that you would

that the ego mind would like for them to

do um from that place you literally just

show up and you’re like how can I add

more love today how can I help someone

today what would generosity do today

what would love do today what would

abundance do today what would wholeness

do today right and then when you show up

in that way and that’s your only MMO in

your interactions with your clients your

team your colleagues your boss your your

family you will have a very different

result now the byproduct is just like it

talked about in this book the byproduct

is you will have more customers you will

attract more money you will attract more

opportunities you will do well in times

when nobody else seems to be doing

well because your Source your stability

is something that can be impacted or

affected by anything by any man-made
